In 2022 Peripheral Histories? will run a series of online talks by scholars working on themes of urban history in modern Central Asia and the Caucasus. The series is co-hosted by the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies (BASEES) as part of its 'BASEES Talks' project, as well as the BASEES Eurasian Regions Study Group.

The series has been organised by Zayra Badillo Castro (academia.edu; Twitter), Senior Teaching Fellow at SOAS, alongside Peripheral Histories? co-editor Alun Thomas.
